What is BGI?
BGI Nexus is where beneficial AI gets built.
BGI Nexus is a community hub for people building toward beneficial general intelligence - developers, researchers, and thinkers working together to ensure AI serves the flourishing of life. We create the conditions for meaningful collaboration: virtual events, sprints, and working groups where technical and non-technical contributors build alongside each other. Our work spans code and frameworks, governance and ethics, practical tools and big questions. The goal is coordination across differences, towards AI that is inclusive, regenerative, and worth building.
Principles of BGI
At BGI Nexus, we believe AI should be developed in the service of flourishing life. That means building technologies guided by purpose, openness, human agency, fairness, and shared responsibility. Our principles encourage a shift away from extractive, short-term thinking and toward systems that are regenerative, inclusive, and designed to strengthen people, communities, and the living world.

Several teams focus on climate resilience, biodiversity, carbon trust, and regenerative ecological knowledge.
